Drilling of glass
Drilling is the process of making holes of different cross-sections ranging from a minimum of 3mm in diameter to a maximum of 200mm in diameter as well as the production of simple cut-outs, presumably for locks, hinges etc.
The process of drilling holes in glass is carried out on the drilling machines Forvet – automatically, and Schiatti – manually.
For the drilling process, we use diamond coated core drills and add water as a coolant. The drilling on the Forvet drilling machine, which runs automatically, is based on the previously prepared program. The Schiatti machine is used for the drilling of individual pieces of glass. Holes and cut-outs are read from the attached files and are produced manually. For smaller series, we use templates.
